Located in the north-western part of the Indian subcontinent, Rajasthan is the largest state in terms of area. Rajasthan means “The Habitat of Kings”. The state was governed by Rajputs in the past for a long time, and they are revered till date. The state consists of one of the world’s major desert areas – Thar Desert. One of the most famous locations of Rajasthan is also known as the “Golden City”. It is located in the middle of the Thar Desert. It is a colourful town that attracts a lot of tourists because of peoples’ lifestyle, culture, folk music, dance and handicrafts. Major places of interest are The Jaisalmer Fort, Jain temples and Museums. Desert Festival is the most anticipated affair of the Jaisalmer city where a lot of competitions are held.


Found on the banks of Lake Pichola, Udaipur is famous for its lakes and palaces. The city has beautiful backdrops and is suitable for a vacation. The royal city is enriched with culture and is known as the gem of Rajasthan. The town is surrounded by Aravalli Hills.

Mount Abu

It is the only hill station of Rajasthan in the Aravalli Ranges that provides relief from the scorching heat. It is no less than a wonder in a desert state. The place is open throughout the year and is home to calm lakes, green areas and gushy waterfalls. The views are amazing and attract architectural buffs and historians.


The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur is also known as the Pink City due to the colour plan of the structures. Tourists travel to this colourful location to explore its beauty. The city is also famous for original Rajasthani jewellery, handicrafts, embroidered shoes and outfits, pottery objects and lot more.
